Meet Milene Henriques

Milene Henriques is a pediatric nutritionist specializing in children’s feeding behavior, selective eating, and complementary feeding. With a Master’s in Food Science from UFMG and over 16 years of clinical experience, she has supported more than 36,000 families across Brazil, Canada, Europe, and beyond.

She believes food is one of the deepest ways parents and children connect. Her work doesn’t stop at “what to eat” — it extends into how the family eats, why mealtimes matter, and how to build a lifelong healthy relationship with food.

Family Session & Parental Guidance

A session designed specifically for parents — focused on how mealtimes are led, posture at the table, communication, and daily routine. A child's relationship with food reflects the family dynamic, so this session looks at the whole picture, not just the plate.

Follow-Up Sessions

Periodic check-ins to review progress, adjust strategies, and work through specific challenges as they come up. Feeding transformation is continuous — every bit of progress deserves attention and technical reinforcement.

How Milene works with families

Every family Milene supports follows the same four-step path. Structured, gentle, and built on evidence.

1

In-depth intake

You complete a detailed intake form so Milene understands your child's feeding history, your family's routine, and what's been tried before.

2

Parents-only session

A private session with you (and your partner, if applicable) — no child present. A protected space to speak openly about concerns, context, and goals.

3

Family session with your child

Milene meets your child alongside you. She observes, connects, and sees the real dynamic — not a performance.

4

Personalized plan + follow-up

You receive a clear, practical plan built for your family. A follow-up session roughly 30 days later helps refine what's working and adjust what isn't.

Common questions

Clear answers to help you feel informed and confident before booking.

What languages do you offer consultations in?

Milene works with families in English and Portuguese. Sessions are conducted in the language you feel most comfortable with.

How is pricing structured?

Session pricing depends on the service and format you need. Rather than list a fixed price on the site, Milene shares pricing after reviewing your intake form — so recommendations fit your family's actual situation. Payment is made upfront via e-transfer, bank transfer, or PIX.

How does a virtual consultation work?

Sessions are held via video call. After you complete the intake form, Milene's team sends you the booking details, the link, and a short preparation guide. All you need is a quiet space, a reliable connection, and about 60 minutes.

Which Ottawa neighborhoods are covered for in-home visits?

In-home visits within Ottawa are standard. For families located more than 30 km from Kanata, a small additional fee applies to cover travel time. This is discussed during intake.

What age ranges do you work with?

Milene works with families from the start of complementary feeding around 6 months through childhood. Her specialties include infant feeding introduction, selective eating from ages 1–8, and mealtime behavior at any age.

What's the cancellation policy?

Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable, as that time has been reserved for your family.

How soon will I hear back after submitting the intake form?

Milene reads every intake form personally and responds within 3 business days with the next steps.

Do I need a referral from a pediatrician?

No referral is needed. However, nutrition counseling complements — it does not replace — medical care. If your child has a diagnosed medical condition, Milene will coordinate with your family's pediatrician when appropriate.

"Transforming generations, one mother at a time."
